The Warranty was true...

"You will love this machine" is what the warranty read 28 years ago when I bought it new, and I have. It quit working and I bought a wonderful replacement, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to throw out the old one. I realized its not the machine, but what it represents, that makes it so hard. Doll clothes, kid clothes, crafts, quilts, drapes, mending, tote bags etc... but it doesn't work anymore, so why keep it? So much of the new God offers and I want to hold on to the old, just because its familiar. I am learning to use the new machine, and she purrs like a dream. There will be so many new and wonderful things to sew on it. I am willing to learn the new machine for the benefits, and I am learning to let go of the old. I let go of the familiar in my life to let God take me to the new. Good things ahead!
